I am starting with Roehl transport this month. How many of you drivers that work for Roehl lease a tractor with them? Also are you getting the miles and loads you want every week? Are you making the money you thought you would as a lease driver? Or should I start as a company driver first. I know that they will try to talk me into it right away. Thanks!
Lease vs company driver

I'd start as company driver to see if you even like working for the company.
-
Company driver= drives company equipment and company pays for it
Lease driver = drives company equipment and the driver pays for it
you decide......
any extra you make leasing goes into keeping things up.
Drive their equipment, become a top notch hand and let them handle all the ########.insertnamehere, 1278PA and CruisingAlong Thank this. -
They don't call it fleece purchase for nothing.

Good grief read the stories of thousands of others who have failed before you. I can't believe people still fall for fleece deals today.
-
Lets see, company driver makes $1000 a week, while paying low taxes, and company pays half of their ss benefits.
Fleece operator pays all the fees, costs, fuel, insurance, breakdowns, plus higher taxes, plus having to pay into their own ss account.
In the end,the fleece owner, now owns a million mile truck. -

Thanks for reminding me,company driver always drives a new truck, never having to worry about out of service orders,or tickets from dot.

Jb hunt issued me a truck, with 23k,on the odometer.
