Wow...is your overhead that high or are you trying to get rich?
-
Depends on your lease, if they pay plates, tolls, ins., IFTA etc. all or part of that changes your overhead and what kind of revenue you have to generate.

Years ago I had a KTA 600 Cummins, it got 2 to 2.5 mpg, I had a buddy that had one and he said he was getting 4.5 to 5 mpg. One day I was at Cummins and the factory rep was there, I explained my situation and he explained I wasn't doing what my buddy was, I said what's that? he replied lying. same thing with year round 4 dollar freight IMOMTN Boomer and bzinger Thank this.

I work with O/Os and L/Os on a daily basis and see I know the rates they are getting, because I'm the one that negotiatesthe rates on their behalf. Delusion is strong with many of these folks. Its hilarious how quickly "one time I pulled $4 per mile freight" turns into "I only pull $4 per mile freight" when they are talking amongst themselves.MTN Boomer, p608 and bzinger Thank this.

I would not be in a deep disbelief by someone saying they're are grossing $400 000 per year on 100 000 miles, still in some disbelief nonetheless. But it is one thing to be exceptionally fortunate, business skilled or one way or another capable but another to sound like it is a norm everybody else should comply with.
