Leased on Owner Op Ideas

I do appreciate you chiming in with ideas though. That’s all I was hoping for.

My goal ultimately is to make owner op and myself money so we both have longevity in this business. If neither or just one are profitable the relationship won’t last long. I don’t have any interest in short term relationships. Waste of time and money.

I’m actually quite proud my one owner op has been with me going on 5 yrs. To me that means he must be doing fairly well. That’s a pretty long run compared to the high failure rate in this business. He was hanging on by a thread when we first found each other.

 

True, there is that risk with doing it for drivers too but I make it clear up front how we run and cut them loose if they aren’t runners. All my guys keep the left door shut.

I’ve pretty much decided to scrap the minimum idea for owner ops.
