    Hi everyone,
Im trying to lease my first truck with a dealership I just got my llc and authority and was wondering how much the down payment would be generally for a full maintenance lease? Do they lease trucks that are older? I have about 8k to use towards a down payment and was wondering if that would be enough for the down payment and to get the truck all together. I don’t want to do a lease where you lease from a company and have to work for them.

You could go to a website like TruckPaper and search for a box truck with the specs that you want. Call the seller and inquire about the vehicle - Do not mention how much money you have or the fact that you have bad credit. Take notes! I am guessing that you have a written business plan ( and a back up plan) as far as what you plan to use the truck for, and how you would plan to pay for it correct?

I was told a factory dealerships rarely offer a full-maintenance lease on a new truck to anyone but a well-established trucking company or an individual with tons of cash and great BUSINESS credit. I can't even remember how they measure business credit. Is it still Dunn & Bradstreet? IDK.
I don't know if non-factory dealerships offer FMLs or if anyone offers an FML on used trucks.

Since you have bad credit something went wrong with money already. Wanting financing is a bad sign that things will go wrong with money again. Don’t ask for money (financing/leasing) work and save up all the money you can. If you save up $40,000 cash the world may look a little different to you then. If you save up $75,000 cash the world may look more different then. If you save up $100,000 cash you may come to your senses and think capital is better then equipment and just keep right on collecting capital until your a millionaire.

I’ve never done a lease on a truck however I’ve leased a few cars and their credit requirements are stricter than a standard out the door loan.

Are you trying to get a straight box truck for a local gig?
