Unless they are running 150 mile drop/hook loads with little deadhead I don't see them having that RPM that high.
    Anybody can say anything.
I could also say I'm averaging $20k a week running between salt lake and north dakota

If you have 15k down, you can surely find a lender to do a loan for you on a good solid used truck, at a reasonable price. Your payments might just be $1200 per month rather than each and every ball washing week. With the lease, that payment comes out whether you are rolling, or not. You can go in the negative very quickly that way. Just me, but I'd rather divide 1200 a month into four weekly payments, and know that if I had a bad week or had to be out a week for personal reasons I can still keep my name good with my lender if I have been frugal and saved. I just bought a used truck myself. Not everyone is trying to get $90,000 for an old truck.

Is the down payment they want for you to drive for Schneider National, or is that to lease on to another carrier of your choice? Reason I ask is as recently as a year and a half ago if I went to Schneider with the lease truck it was 0 down. But if I went anywhere else with it, they wanted $15,000 down.

    Best advice so far.
My previous carrier offers (for select few) a lease purchased for 2023 Pete 579 Ultraloft for 700 CAD a week. The rate is around 2.2 CAD/mile (includes fuel surcharge).
The fuel is heavily discounted using Fuelbook app.
    Miles/week are around 2800.
    6 cents/miles maintenance fund collected.
    2000 CAD escrow. 2500 deductible/occurrence.
Everything else is paid by the carrier except WCB.
70k CAD balloon payment after 48 month.
    Cons:
    Bendix Wingman with lane
    departure and adaptive cruise.
    Road facing cameras.
    Other features:
    Carrier APU.
    68 mph on cruise/foot at 1250RPM.
    455HP, 1550/1750 TQ 12 speed AUTO.
    Webasto for sleeper.
    Inverter.
    232 wheelbase.
Bumper to bumper warranty with couple exceptions.
Truck replacement or lease/wages covered if truck is down for 72h+.
Fuel mileage 8.5-9.5 miles/US gallon outside the mountains.
    Thoughts?

Me being me, I would NOT lease anywhere. Period. I tried that once in 2015, and it didn't work out in my favor at all. But if you are interested it all comes down to you and what you can do as far as running and maintaining what you need to at home and so forth. I can't stomach those high weekly payments. Granted my credit isn't the best....by far not the best....I still wouldn't do that lease thing again. I pondered on it and it sounded good, until it came to thinking about $1,000 per week just for the truck. So how much is this lease you mention? That balloon payment is really high. Guess they're taking advantage of the market, too.

Total truck cost is 215.600 CAD.
5% sales taxes that can be claimed back quarterly or yearly.
    166K USD at a rate CAD-USD .77.
Trucks are ordered by 300-400 batches.
They arrive in lots of 20-50 /lot.

    2.20 CAD is $1.70 USD.

I do NOT get excited over $1.70

    Right.
Compared with the crappy rates Canada only offers, this numbers are really good.
    Consistent freight, no load boards.
In 4 years you do around 500k miles and you can send the truck back. Next truck.
I have friends that are at their 4 truck now.
Very happy. Compared with the disasters like MBE400 Columbia or Mack Vision.
8+miles/ US gallon and a superb warranty is what makes it interesting.
    For some people.

    I wouldn’t tie into a $1400 a week payment right now on a truck……
