    Hey all,

Not sure if this is the correct category but I wanted to know about y’alls experience leasing onto someone or a mega carrier’s authority with your own truck and having them dispatch you instead of self dispatch. Looking to eventually add more trucks and hiring drivers, but to pay them a wage that would make it worth their while it’d have to be a company with good freight and a decent dispatch department. If y’all know some names I’d appreciate it. I’m in the GA/FL area.

You'll starve competing with company trucks when things are slow like they are now. Get your own customers or just run when the market is prosperous.

Thank you for taking the time to respond!
So when the market is prosperous, which are some good companies to look into you think?

Welcome to the forum. Good luck to you and your family! God bless you and your family!

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.

When the market is prosperous is when you run your own numbers and go for the jugular on rates with every broker you can.

    few questions:

what is the going rate per mile now? (reefer, dry van, flatbed, power loads, etc)
in a lease program, does the leasing company pay you or do you wait on invoices from the companies you deliver to ?
can you pay your quarterly estimated taxes online? (or is it still those little booklet stubs)
are most of the lease programs walk away programs, are you obligated after say a 2year lease to do anything else with it?

ty and anything else you can think of also would be greatly appreciated.

if you could do a scenario also that would be great. Say i got into a fender bender 6 months later after leasing, what actually happens? ty

ok, found out reefer rate is about $2.34/mile rite now. and yes, there is a pay your quarterly estimated taxes online window at the irs.gov still need to know what the typical week is like in a lease program, i mean are you busy, are you getting the scraps from what company drivers dont do, or what? And definitely how the pay works out. ty
