Just do not commit the error of assuming someone parked crooked for no reason. It might have been a necessity to park at all, and the person who created that necessity is long gone.

Truck stops smell like peepee.
Other truckers are there.
don't feel like listening to them ##### & moan.
Or blow cigarette smoke at the entrance.
Be left alone.
Why I took this job.double yellow Thanks this. -
have seen this but I also see a lot of horrible parking at the truck stops too, a couple truck stops I go to often can be a pain at times since people are double parking all over the place to take a 30min break if they are not taking it at the pump and then people have to try and squeeze through these horrible parked trucks to try and get out.blairandgretchen Thanks this.

I spend the night the other night in the first rest area on Interstate 84 east of the 82 junction in Oregon. The guy to my left was parked crooked and he was still in the drivers seat. I made it a point to adjust my truck so it was exactly even inside my spot, with the edge of my trailer being within a couple feet of his. He watched me then went to bed.

What inspired me to start this was because my wife pulled into a rest stop in Northern California a few days ago. There was parking maybe for 15 trucks....about 10 of them parked so far back that I had to get out & help her. The last truck was a Melton, he was the worst. We barely get passed then I start to walk to use the bathroom.....who do I see coming to the truck ? Mr. Melton. I bring up with him his parking job. His response is he had the same problem. WTF ! ! !

The rest areas on Interstate 20 near Coahoma and Westbrook (west of Sweetwater) present a problem with the diagonal truck parking. it seems that TXDOT decided to measure the spots almost exactly 9 feet across because its almost impossible for trucks to park in there without crowding one another.Last edited: Mar 12, 2014

WHAT........WAIT.........what do you mean, were not suppose to park in the fuel island for a 30 min break, or a ten hour break? Really? Showering ok, eating in restraunt ok....but no breaks in the fuel island.....there's no signs saying one cant where are the signs.....lord what am I gonna do now?
I know.....
goto to court and petition to change my name........let's see.....
first name super
last name trucker
that should make it ok no signs saying that either see you in the fuel LaneWolfyinc Thanks this. -
you got a point but some do state to pull forward after fueling, of course if you never start the fueling process.....
-
Well if you pull forward that no good as someone will eventually wind up behind you, then you will be having conversations with someone you don't know. Stay at pumps no issues, and sometimes you get your truck paged inside the store to show everyone how really important one is.Vito Thanks this.
