It's a challenge, you answered your own question. Pulling a box isn't exactly...difficult.

It was for me! Only time I've backed up something like this was on that Denver account. But hey, that was only off a NO TRUCKS street and about 19 times at a truck stop.

I started out pulling 53' containers in downtown Chicago. Now, there isn't a dock or spot I can't get into with this 5' shorter skateboard.... but now I added 60" to the wheelbase, so I'm back in the same boat. i moved a van trailer out of a dock last week so i could get unloaded and it took me just a few seconds, came right back to me. Plus I think backing up something with walls is much easier for me to judge..... and not having the spread axle grabbing helped too.

You'll get it all figured out. Just remember the rear overhang, but since you were pulling a 53' flatbed, you should already be used to that.

Also note that your MPG may go down quite a bit now that you have about 3' of plywood/fiberglass dragging in the wind above the truck. a small whale-tail should take care of that for you, or even cheaper solution is getting a nose-cone for the trailer.

Right, looking into something to set up there. Or a nose cone.

Actually, he may need to relearn how to scale that box for axle and bridge laws, also :D

    SHC Thanks this.

Considering what SHC said, International said I could trade the truck in for a newer model Prostar. I was glad because someone didn't take care of this truck, the inside smells bad and the beds are hard as rock. So I went along with it. Happier camper.

So now you have a truck payment again?

Please for the love of God don't put a big wing ontop of a prostar and just get a nose cone instead.
