I talked to a couple of their drivers many months ago . Probably closer to a year.. They told me its .42 a mile and all the miles u want. Easy company to work for and oversize pays .60 a mile or something like that.

Dave_in_AZ and Wasted Thyme Thank this.

I bet they pay more than 42 cents per mile. Im not far from their yard in Springfield and I see their trucks a lot. They get some interesting loads for a big company. I think that guy chaoss drives for them , tag him.

Glue lamps & "telephone" poles from PNW area. Backhauls, recycle paper, crush cars ect. This was in the 80s so it might be different. Poles & lams run as long as 110 ft load length.

Leavitt's has been in business a long time and they've always specialized in the long loads.
I haven't had any dealings with them in a couple of years but they always impressed me as a class outfit.

    kylefitzy Thanks this.

I used to see their 8 axles loading particle board in Missoula when I was there. We’d always stretch our loads out to 48ft whenever we could, usually a block of 4 on the front and then 5 stacks of three. Made it easier to scale legal in both US and Canada. Lea it’s has three piece tarps and most of their drivers would only want to use two and they’d try and load 40ft all the time and they’d end up having to move the load around to scale legal if they were going to Canada and they’d end up with a real ugly 48ft load in the end because the plant wouldn’t take the load off and start over, they’d only move units around. But then they’d come back and do the exact same thing the next time.
