I have a 2009 Pete 389 and currently have oem headlight housing with led bulbs. Everything works fine. Decided to order all aftermarket headlights for a brighter style instead of just bulbs. Once plugged in and you start the truck. The bright indicator starts flashing and the brights turn on also when on dim. Click onto bright and works like it should, then try go back does it again. I installed resistors to the power wire for the dims and then other end to ground like they are suppose to be hooked up. Now they will last maybe 20 seconds before indicator starts flashing again. Any ideas what to try next? Maybe a rectifier diode of some sort from what I have read? Thanks.

... probably needs error cancellers....had same issue on BMW with cheap bulbs ....don't use led .. they don't heat the housing , you not gonna see anything during snow
-
I have them on my other trucks and have no issues with them. Even during the snow. They are bright enough to make up for it.
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
Might need to enable led headlights in the CECU.
Most times anti flicker modules need to be installed as well -
I ordered a set so I will try them! You think I will still need the resistors hooked up along with the anti flicker modules?
-
-
I would try without the resistors first and just the anti flicker modules.
Paccar released factory anti flicker modules for the 520 with led headlights. I am wanting to try a pair out on my next installKB3MMX Thanks this. -
