Xenon is same as HID, high intensity discharge I think is what it stands for.
-
Xenon HID headlights, or high-intensity discharge, are a common alternative to halogen bulbs. Instead of halogen, HID headlights use another gas - generally xenon. ... These headlights are usually brighter than LEDs and halogens, but they are significantly more fragile, and they are not solid state in the same way as LEDs.

JW Speaker. They have a heated lense option. I’ve had mine for over a year and they never freeze over. The heated lense works as it should. They are plug and play.

Are those for Volvo?

HID conversion kit is good idea but you still have old scratched plastic cover. Scratches are like thousands prism refracting light in all directions.
I installed this [LED Light Source] 2004-2017 Volvo VNX VNL VNM Truck LED Black Headlights Pair | eBay four years ago. No drilling or glueing. Just plug and play. Never had it covered with snow as light is cold and snow not sticking to the light.mladen86 Thanks this. -
I purchased the bi xenon headlight system from Deep Space lighting. Excellent system, headlights are bright and give a good view of the road ahead. The high beams and low beam system is combined so you disconnect the volvo high beam headlights(lower one). It took about 1/2 hour to do each one, they do have instructions as well as a video on you tube. Huge improvement over the volvo oem's.
Also runs warm so the SBU does not ice up in winter(live in Canada). The beam is powerful enough that it doesn't matter if your plastic lens cover is scratched or has glazed a bit over time. You will not notice it. Get the tool for adjusting your headlights you will need it. the torx is not a common one sold at stores. The owner is a great person to deal with, had my power supply stop(first one they had fail and it had to be mine). He drove to my location and helped me to install a new one. Have had mine for about two years now and no problems. Also purchased the fog lamps as well. Very happy with it. -
Anyone using the HID have you had a y ballast problems. I just know that on cars that seem to have a lot of issues with a lot less hours
-
Been running those hids for a few years. No issues with ballasts

Do you think they are brighter then the LED ones. Was gonna buy some this week but had to have injectors done on the truck today for first time. Has 545,000 on now and bought it 6months ago with 490,000 on it
