yes they gave him a percentage, then posted the law that does not directly state the percentage necessary. This answers in the best way to give him the most important info on the rule.

Best to replace the I recieved a warning ticket in texas because half was out and the light was dim. And it will give them a reason to pull you and do a DOT inspection

Yeah sure. I believe everyone already knows we need stop lights. Be a wise guy to a LEO is not very smart but you'll learn. The only requirement I can see that might apply to LED lights in the FMCSR's is the requirement for seeing the light at a distance. I could be wrong but it will take some digging and don't forget the local and state laws. But no matter what why wouldn't you what to make sure they can be seen at the maximum distance? I know they cost but they do last longer and I would want to make sure people see my signal or stop lights.

I was kidding about acting the fool in front of a DOT shakedown. But if he doesn't have the good sense not to say something along the lines of "And feel lucky you're walking away from this, without a ticket, yourself." Then I think it's not really anyone's fault.

And I didn't see you posting any laws, regulations or any other offical statement to the contrary of my post. Your post is simple supposition. The same thing that everyone else said.

It was a simple interpretation from 393.11 in relation to LED lights and the lack of any rule or regulation in the FMCSR and not just a statement that marker lights are required. That's the point, sorry you missed it.

Why would you say that? If they all work you're safer now.

My truck has all LED lights.....three years and never any burnt out.
To me they are worth the extra price.
Much less expensive if you order them online.......Superbright LEDs.com.
They have every bulb for about every vehicle.

    landstar8891 Thanks this.
