I work at a municipality and we have police order road closed trailers which we converted from rotary bulb lights to led hood mount signal style light. I tried a led flasher that has the additional wire coming off it that hooks to a ground. For what ever reason I could not get it to work. After alittle research on a grote web site I found what we are using now. It is a "solid state" flasher designed for low load lights. There is no moving parts and is only the size of childrens raisin box. They can be hooked up so the power from your signal stat is the control and turns it on. Might be something to inquire about if you have the same problem with led flashers as I did.

Century flasher under passenger side dash. Remove the panel and you'll see the bank of fuses. Flasher unit should be in front by windshield. Cube or cylinder shape plug in.

You signal is not working because you need to move the turn signal lever up or down.
