Legal log question split breaks HELP!

    If I am 10 mins. from home I won't start my clock till I am loaded and ready to leave for the trip .

    That's just the way I would do it ... perfectly legal maybe not... but not wasting my hours legal totally !!!

    As long as you show at least 30 minutes of loading or unloading time, you can log the rest in the sleeper. There are some states that require you to also show a 15 minute PTI (Post Trip Inspection) and the end of a on-duty period.

    Another question: Will his company allow split logging? Many don't.
