My cousin just started working for this company, wants to sell me a variety of plans - just wanted to see if anyone here has had any experience with them, good or bad. My understanding is they have a special plan for CDL drivers....could be something I'd maybe offer our drivers, but would like some first hand experience....am a bit skeptical. Thanks for any input.

I personally don't use any of the legal services, because the way I look at it is if I don't get a ticket it's a waste of money to have one. Also, the industry has so many companies offering a service that I wouldn't even begin to know how one would begin to stand out from the others, they're pretty much all the same thing. I know some people swear by them though, but most of those people don't have a clean driving record LOL

Keep your money in your pocket. They are kind of like a casino or the lottery. Extremely predatory against the ignorant. The odds are in their favor to make money off you with no effort. And they provide services that you can purchase for yourself if you ever have need of them.

Glad they finally ran these scammers out of the truck stops.

Run the speed limit and fix tires and lights on your truck. There 95% of the reason you get pulled over will not happen.

No need for it if you typically run legal.

Not when you do the kind of freight I haul. It is part of the bussiness.

Don’t forget placards. Those are police magnets around these parts.

Driverlegal plan was well worth the money when I had the service. I was working at a 150 truck company and the service was offered to us if we wanted it. The company advised us it would be in our best interest to get it but they didn't force anyone to. I got 3 speeding tickets in the 11 years I was there. I opted to sign up for it and was glad I did.

All three were reduced to basically nothing non-traffic offenses and I had to pay a fine. Never did have to go to court. When I got a ticket I had to pay the service $100 for them to put a lawyer on it and fight it. There was also a weekly payroll deduction of $2. That service is WELL worth every penny and to be honest that is dirt cheap to keep your driving record clean.

I wish I still had it when I got a speeding ticket last year but I didn't. My perfect driving record of almost 17 years down the toilet for that one. You must purchase the service before you get any ticket or they won't fight it. So if you're thinking you'll wait until you get a ticket, that ain't gonna work. I would say look into this company and other legal protection companies offering the same service. This is like cheap insurance to keep a clean record.
