Lessors inc beware

I now wrok for PTI and have been home three weekends out of four and made more than I did at lessors. They are set up for you to take your 34 at home if you live in a hirihg area. I was broke down last week and they paid me $104 for setting 24 hours cause I missed my appt. They have several terminals but i work out of Cedar Springs, GA. They are dedicated to Gulf states paper mills you go from plant to plant or whse. Insurance goes in effect 60 days after employment.

 

Which PTI are you working for?

 

I live in Florida and none of the companies I've talked to will hire me because of that, so I'm moving to Texas in July

That is exactly how the Dover terminal works. My husband has worked there for over a year now and from the beginning they have complained to him about keeping his miles up at the same time he has been complaining to them about needing miles.

They have constantly given him illegal loads that no trucker could do no matter how much fudging they did to their logs. Now they have a few of their trucks on the paperless log system and his miles are even worse now because the planners can't give him loads that he can't do legally. Which mean small miles and tons of time on the load. He recently had a load going from Ill. to Pen. with 4 days to do it in. Let me tell you that that weeks check was so huge! ~ sarcasm if you can't tell~

He goes out for 3.5 to 5 weeks at a time and they still can't get him the 10,000 miles a month but yet they blame him, by the way it's a force dispatch company. Now they are slip seating him because of it.

The last time my husband came home for his home time 3 driver came into the terminal before we left and quit. 3 in an hour!!! All of them said the same thing that they weren't getting the miles and were being hassled about it. That day Gary told my husband that he's not out long enough and that is why he's not getting his miles. Hello??? 3.5-5 weeks isn't long enough?!

the company is going paperless logs here soon. They don't plan to wait until the government deadline of 2014.

Hmm sounds funny to me to hear you say how great they are. I wonder if you even work for the same company as my husband.

As for the planner in Va., yes you have to call her to get a load but it's not like you can actually get a hold of her. He is constantly leaving messages for her and she hardly ever calls him back. So professional. Oh and 90% of their loads don't go any farther than the triangle of death; Ga, Va, Mn, Al.

My husband is currently trying to find another company to work for.

If you are close to Jax, FL or Cedar Springs, GA Try PTI. Since I left Lessors I have been home every weekend. Good insurance, very nice people. Electronic logs but they pay you for sitting. From those two offices you will run southeast. I live near Montgomery but they get me home under a load to Huntsville. They alow riders and pets. They pay for your port cards.

 

Unfortunately where we live which happens to be just south of I4 makes it near impossible to find another company who wants us. No one wants someone from the middle of this (FL) state cause it's to hard to get them home.

 

I think that you can my wife and I are in plant City now and reload for Rome, GA and they told me to go home for the weekend which is out of the way. we live 148 miles from the yard in Cedar Springs, GA they realliu do try and get you by your house.

 

I worked for Lessors. Mi were great. No respect for log book.Run you to death.This was back in the day. we ran peterbulit,s.Talked to safety several times. Northstar carryover Worked for NORTHSTAR.Bought out by transport america.Went to lessors.Never had a prob. except wouldent let me sleep.This was before e-logs an all that crap. Late im just rambleing
