1st bump in the road yesterday. I overnighted at the Consignee in Ocala and was MT by 07:30. Still no load plan by 14:00, so I had to make a call. Shortly thereafter, I got a load assignment that picked up in Auburndale this morning. I called the broker and was able to get the pickup appt moved from 10:00 to 04:00. So all I got for miles yesterday was 80 deadhead miles from Ocala to the Love's at Polk City. Picked up this morning and shut down this afternoon at the Love's in Jasper, Tennessee. Consignee is in Bridgeton, Missouri and they allow staging. So I'll camp there tomorrow night for my Monday morning delivery.

Wow wasn't expecting that after you said you wanted to go local. Here is to things working out better for you than at Heyl.

 

Getting a decent local job in my area is not easy. The only LTL close is R & L and I've never seen them post a driver position. The job I had a connection with wouldn't even process my application til I'd been on a cpap for 30 days. Didn't get my cpap from the VA til 9/17.
