Good Luck to you Pokerperv! I hope everything works out ok for you. I'm glad they put me in the room I'm in because it did need a little cleaning, but nothing like yours.
Anytime I go to an inexpensive motel I always do a bed check and some cleaning and I always burn candles. Our room is actually nice and has a flat screen tv on the wall. If I didn't know better, I'd think you were in a different motel. I was in class trying to figure out who you were but I didn't realize who you were until you were gone and Ivan was calling your name. I sat two seats behind the seat next to you. Good luck, get your test done and get busy. The guy behind me was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea, but he was already under a doctors care and had his paperwork so he was ok. -
Well Today was day 1. We did paperwork and our D.O.T. Physicals. The D.O.T. will have a new rule coming into effect next year that your BMI can't be too high. They have a chart that the use to find your average and if you are above it you won't pass. It didn't affect anyone today but the dr. warned anyone who would be affected by it. The physicals took until almost 1p, then we took a lunch break. After lunch we went over what we will need to take our permit test on Wednesday. Indiana operators license test, general knowledge, air brakes, and combination vehicles. It seems like a lot, but since I've been studying the gk, ab, & cv for weeks now I should be ok. Well our class started out with 28 this morning and by 4p we had 25. I'm going to really buckle down and get er done! Ok, enough lollygaggin, time to hit the books! I'll keep you updated.

Yeeeaaahhh me! I passed all 4 written tests today! I now have an Indiana Operators license and a CDL permit. The test wasn't easy. Tomorrow I get to get in the truck and start learning to back up. There were quite a few people who failed some of the test but they will get to take it again tomorrow. I'm glad that I passed and I'm over that hurdle. Now on to the good stuff. I get to relax this evening but I'm gonna start writing out some index cards for the pre-trip. That's a lot of stuff to remember. But that's my next hurdle to get over. I'll Holla!!!!

Keep up the posts! -
In our class we now have 23 people. 2 are doing a refresher and have their cdl's already, out of the other 21 only 9 passed everything on the 1st try. Some have taken the tests 4 times and still haven't passed them.

Thank you pattyj, it sure does feel good. One less thing to stress about. I feel like I'm making some progress towards getting this accomplished. I can't wait for the day I'm holding those CDL's in my hand. I'm gonna work hard this week because at this point it is up to me how long it takes to get it done. Some people get done after 2 weeks, some stay for 5. I'm just hoping to be out of here at about the average time of 3 weeks. I hope to be home before my birthday June 3 with CDL's in hand! More reason to celebrate!
