Get rid of the 14 hour rule no more 70 hour rule and eliminate the restart. When I leave my house I work I don't need to be sitting in some dirty lot for 34 hours like a dog in a kennel.

Work/drive up to 14 hours a day, 10 hours off duty any way you see fit, as long as you have at least 6 hours in a row off before the next day starts.

pre-trip, roll 170 miles to shipper, load not ready, delayed 4 hr 45 min, roll to a pilot with a cat scale, delayed 1 hr, roll 1hr delayed again about an hr due to a crash, roll another and park. with 125 miles left on a whopping 320 mile run serving as a reposition. I'd much rather finish it then park for a 10

Actually I just landed a daycab job and will work about 9 to 10 hours a day, that 30 minute break will probably suck.
