Greetings.
I'm a recording engineer in Nashville, TN. I've been in the Music Biz for 25 years. The trend is the industry is not what I'm into anymore,
so I'm looking for a new career. I would think trucking would let me keep some of my freelance spirit and make some coin similar to
what I'm used to.
Thanks to any and all who may help me in my journey for knowledge.![]()
grazie

The good coin for new CDL drivers is hazmat/tanker or LTL companies.
Are you planning to attend private CDL school? There's about 3 in Murfressboro.
There's one in Lebanon, R.E. West, and no contract to sign. I don't think the paychecks are all that great though; don't know that for a fact though, just rumor. They have several big accounts, the biggest I believe is AO Smith water heaters in Ashland City. They haul those water heaters all over the country.
Here's a good thread to read about your area of Tennessee:

Thank you , so much, for the heads up on the local gigs. This will surely give me a head start.
I have been focusing on Company sponsored programs at this point to land my CDL A .... The Usual national suspects
So far....

If anyone has any insight on these outfits, please chime in. I'm trying to gather the good and bad on all.
My goal is to stay regional as quickly as possible. LTL ... get home often, type of deal. Not adverse to P&D... whatever it takes to stay local.
If I need to put in a year or to of OTR, I'm cool with that. I realize that's where many companies place you to pay off that school loan.
Grazie !
