DH home. I sure wouldn’t DH 200 in wrong direction, or take a cheap load only to DH 200 mikes home. Waste of time either way.

6 hours of easy driving mt and your home.......

VS all day pain in the butt load for $600....

I’d put it in the wind, and have on longer miles than 350 too......

Many people are barely breaking even on $1.09 a mile if all costs are figured in. I am not running a charity and I don’t work cheap, but I will deadhead home in a minute regardless of the miles. I would let someone else haul the cheap freight and look for something better once I got home.

Depends on what got accomplished before the last leg.
For instance, I deadhead 450 miles home today despite some $800 - 1000 freight available in the morning but been out there for 3 intensive weeks numbs me enough to not care any more.

    ^^^^^^This.

Does everyone know the difference between a lot lizard and a high end call girl?

Once upon a time, a businessman got a little anxious while in Dallas. He had his people contact a call girl for him. She was incredibly beautiful, well educated, and knew ALL the tricks of her trade. Thing is, her day rate was $15000/day.

Well, the next day as she was leaving, the business man handed her the check. She thanked him and told him to call her whenever wherever. The valet brings up her car and told her that the fuel light was on. The valet makes a proposal: “Gimme some of that poon and I will give you $50 cash to get fuel.” She thinks about it, and then goes into the garage to service the valet.

Meanwhile, the businessman walks into the garage to fire up his million dollar Italian car, sees the call girl and the valet. When the valet finishes and the call girl leaves, the businessman asks the valet valet about how much that service cost.

A few months later, while walking through the finest hotel in NYC,the businessman is greeted by the call girl.

“Hey, want me to come visit you when you’re done with your meeting?”

    For how much?

    “Same rate as last time.”

That’s okay... I will just look for you in the parking lot.

And the moral of the story is........?

One thing I also thought about just a few weeks ago... is this really worth it. If some BS happens to delay me is it really worth that amount of money? What if some cargo got damaged and I took this load for pennies. Is it worth it?

I understand the circumstances your in with how stinking slow IFTA is in Texas right now. I felt that pain. But you’ll get it soon and have more beans in the pot to choose from. Texas is a tough state at times to run in.
