I was thinking about going to straight talk. Ive been with sprint for about 8 years. I can get a new phone plus unlimited data for 57 dollars per month. They say sprint coverage is non existent in some places.

I've been a big fan of Samsung for years. I've been using an LG G2 since September, best phone I've used, very fast, has every useful feature I need, I can even use it as a free hot spot for my laptop and kindle. It was only$100 at best buy.

I don't make it a habit of holding big things in my hand that don't belong to me...unless they come in a matched set.

You are saying that now till you and your girl wind up on some underground video.
These developers are not playing some can and do ease drop on phones for what reasons I do not know only time will tell.
Of you bank on your Android it's quite possible that you may have a key logger on your phone.
As a matter of fact someone put together a box you can buy that creates apps that anyone can sell in the app store hidden with any type of spyware you wish camera mic key logger you name it all for under $300.00 and guess what, Google really don't give a #### although they can but don't clean apps as they are sold in the store.
Sure the government can get information on anybody they wish but when your average Joe can do the same that changes the game a little bit.

Having used both blackberries and galaxies I prefer the galaxies hands down. I let my wife talk me into another blackberry (she didn't learn from the first one) when we switched from sprint to Verizon and have regretted the blackberry choice ever since. Call quality, coverage, reception and internet speed are based on the carrier not hardly at all on the model/brand of the phone. We had galaxies after ditching our original blackberries on sprint and reception, speed, dropped calls, and coverage still sucked BAD. Even though I hate the new blackberry phone, our coverage, speed, reception and lack of dropped calls are excellent with Verizon. When our contract is up in a few months I'm getting a new galaxy and dumping this crackberry once and for all.

As far as durability, spend the coin and get an otterbox or something similar, I've dropped both a galaxy and a crackberry from the drivers seat of my truck with the otterbox on the phone and no damage was done to the phone.

I've used both iPhone and Android products. I currently am using a Samsung galaxy s3,but upgrading to the s5 first chance I get. I was given an iPhone as a company phone a few years back and hated it. I dislike apples policy and restrictions on what you can and can't do with your phone. I've been using Android products for 8 years now with Verizon and have never had a security issue.

--just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you...
