A one or two cup coffee maker will give a better taste from the same coffee than a 10-12 cup maker. It has to do with too much water running over the same grounds and that you start to lose flavor as soon as the water runs over the grounds. So you don't want the coffee to sit. Brew, drink, brew, drink... this method also works for beer.

My s/o is from Vermont, and he always said that Green Mountain coffee was the best...he quickly changed his mind when he stumbled into the bayous of south Louisiana , 5 years ago and started drinking COMMUNITY COFFEE. We used to buy the one pound bags by the dozens and carrry them on the truck to give as "gifts" to customers in other parts of the country(and Canada). If you are curious about it look it up on the web and order yourself a bag or two from the website! t The most popular is the DARK ROAST and the NEW ORLEANS BLEND(coffee and chicory)

warning..the n.o. blend will clean(purge) out your innards if you are not used to it! -
I keep seeing the commericals for that coffee best in New Orleans.

We just put a coffee maker on the truck last week....before that Pilot for my hubby, and Tim's for me (yeah I know I am SO Canadian! LOL)
Coffee maker is saving a lot of $$$$, and my husbands tummy has a hard time dealing with water from different states...so making it himself is also saving a fortune on Immodium! -
I had never heard of water upsetting someones stomach until now, intresting.

It's more than two cups. Each insulated mug is about 16 oz. each, and either one or both can be brewed at the same time (the coffee is brewed directly into the insulated mug). The point was that it doesn't make an excess of coffee that then sits on a burner getting crappy (or a potential high-speed corner incident
). It's actually an ideal machine for a truck application.

Has anyone tried Kopi Luwak ("monkey poop") coffee? Sells for $100-$600/pound (according to Wiki).
-
actually its cat poop, lol.

Also, a lot of coffeemakers don't get hot enough to brew a really good cup of coffee. (Coffee snobs, or "purists" as I call 'em, will understand.
)
_ton bundle Thanks this. -
I fill the basket up. So there is plenty of grounds per water ratio.
