Aside from dipping down to 68 how else are you going to get to new jersey with out them? Itsa load you're going to.either pay some in tolls or a good chunk in fuel trying to run around them. Go ahead and tell me im wrong. There's a point where you loose money doing that.

Again, who else.have you drove for, oh lease op guru? You think leasing is some kind of black art lol. I understand jumping in the deep end when your starting out is a.recipe for failure. What you dont understand is leasing is the kiddie pool of the trucking industry, water wings and all. Lol, hope youre getting as much of a kick out of this as I am

Coming from IL?? 30 all the way across onto 76 in Ohio, 76 which changes over into 80 in Youngstown... 80 all the way across, get to 287 you can go anyway you want wihout paying a toll until the turnpike. And if you have to you can jump on Route 1 and take that down with no tolls instead of getting on the turnpike

That's one of the routes I take. No tolls. This is why the OP should spend some time on the company side. Make your mistakes there.

BTW... I'm a O/O... I'm not leasing any longer. If it's such a lowly station in life, one wonders why the OP is bothering with leasing?

Sorry, southern jersey. Not a lowly position, just not the rocket science you make it out be. You constantly spout the same old ####,and come off as a condescending prick 90 percent of the time. The op thinks you could help alot of lease drivers out, stop being a ###### douche. You forget where you came from. First company driving for, first time leasing. Im sure you ###### plenty of stuff up when you switched over. But stay up on the high horse, you aint done anything worthy of being there, but go on ahead

.Hawk, good to know, that may still work for southern nj, I learned something afterall today. I most.definitely dont know everything there is to know, and will take good advice any chance I can. And of course some of them said not to, then we talked numbers.

Plain and simple, im going lease. If you dont have anything to add to that can help me, and other people who may be looking at lease, in that choice, go troll another thread. Thanks

Who's numbers you running? Your trainer? His numbers are team freight with you as cheap labor.

How is that gonna work out for you running solo loads, solo rates when you've been crunching your trainers team freight rates?

Funny how these trainers flash their checks when the only have to pay a trainee .12/mile.

actually ive just been figuring costs, im not watching the big check all that much, im using average revenue I've seen and been told by other guys who have been successful, using fixed cost of 1188, variables @ 200, fuel based on 2500 miles, fsc of .40, mpg of 7.2, fuel @3.95 a gal. There's plenty of room in those numbers to make money, and my.fuel Is figured high and mpg low. Im not doing this to get rich, im doing it with.the end goal of owning my truck and making a decent paycheck while im.getting set up to buy.

There's always the remote possibility something happens and this venture fails. Ive got several good fall back options, I can go company,.or I can go back to.the oilfield. I can have another job tomorrow. Ill be ok lol

Ps, you guys assume way too much. Try asking someone how theyre figuring things and what their thought process is, and maybe you wont come off the way you are.

As ive said im not the avg joe off the street jumping into the big bad leased pete thinking im hot #### only to be gone in a few months. I know my stuff, and I dont take this #### lightly. But keep coming at me like im some #######, its really fantastic to see how some of you veteran drivers at prime act.
