This is more accurate than you think. There is a flour mill in Denver that has to be the biggest in the US.
I reload there. You don't even talk to a human. You write your info on a receiving slip, and put it through slot in door, no BS.
If your info is not correct, you're somewhat F.
If you are 1 second late for your pick up, God love you, cause your going to the holding area.
There are some trucks with skeletons holding steering wheels in that area.gdyupgal, KillingTime, NavigatorWife and 3 others Thank this. -
If you walk into a terminal and the office staff is behind bullet proof glass, that's not a good thing.
KillingTime, NavigatorWife, redoctober83 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I think that all mega's have that.KillingTime and NavigatorWife Thank this.

You guys replying.. Do you work for prime? Or is this something other companies have in place? I'm wondering if I should talk to my FM's manager.

I worked at Swift two years. Each terminal was run differently. Some were great, others not so much. The DM's didn't give us loads, it was the load planners in each region that gave you loads. The DM could lobby the planners.
The important thing is having great communication. If you aren't clicking with your DM, then ask for another. If the terminal isn't working for you, ask for a better terminal.NavigatorWife, Dave_in_AZ and $lim Thank this. -
No bullet proof glass hiding the dispatchers at prime.NavigatorWife Thanks this.
