Smidge over 65k this year and I’ve grossed 277k, I really should do a better job of tracking expenses than I do, hoping it will go up but I’m not sure after the trailer hit, I can make it the rest of the year but I’d rather make more and I’ll probably get in trouble with that much time off

4.26 a running mile to the truck during a recession is crazy good. Have you just been living in the truck running short loads orrr?

Thanks for sharing your experience with us, glad you could get your fuel economy improved as well, sure does mean a lot when you have to pay the fuel accounts. Also driving at slower speeds will also greatly improve your fuel economy unless your already doing so, its amazing how much less fuel your engine will chew up at say 60 mph compared to doing 70 mph. Reducing speeds by between 5 - 10 mph can improve fuel economy by between 7 - 14 %. The difference between 60 mph and 70 mph with fuel is about 12 % extra consumed. Increasing speed from 70 mph to 80 mph will increase fuel consumption by another 14 % so a huge saving if one can travel below 70 mph any wonder the larger companies are reducing speed limits on their trucks.

mostly LTL reefer from PA back up to MA/VT with the occasional west coast turn now thrown in, I go start pick ups Friday, load Friday night, come home Saturday, then deliver Monday and Tuesday, sometimes I get a random Wednesday night or Sunday night delivery tossed in but not too often

i usually deadhead from my last stop either Brattleboro or Williston VT back to Springfield Ma area then down to northern Jersey empty for pick ups on Fridays

Main squeeze has been closed up since September and won’t be back in again until late Feb, been dragging the welfare wagon some. 77k miles so far for the year, gross is a smidge over 240k, hovering right at $3.10 per rolling mile. The welfare wagon is actually grossing and netting better than the flat was for the last month I pulled that trying to bounce around and not hook to the WW. That’s usually not a good sign.

New 389 did well for the past week that I’ve had it. Rig up did not go as smoothly or quickly as I had hoped, but it is what it is. 6.1 mpg on 480 empty miles and 2331 loaded miles.

I spend 90% of my time on 2 lane and hardly ever touch above 65, that being said sometimes you gotta move and you let the big girl eat so you can get to where you got to go.
