Feel free to look through my posts. Nowhere will you find that I claim to be the "shining beacon" of anything. Never will.

You don't get that kind of mpg in a Pete running full throttle!Last edited by a moderator: Oct 6, 2015

Sure he can. I work with a fella getting 7.7 in a Pete with a C15. I'm getting 7.4 in a Int 9200 with a C13 (but I run slower). The trick is to not pull heavy loads all the time. Something I believe you fellas at Prime can't avoid. But being as Ssand Man owns his truck, he decides what and where he goes. Lots of light loads out there that pay really well.Last edited by a moderator: Oct 6, 2015

Don't call me grasshopper. You don't know anything about me! I don't care 2 spits about your video. It don't prove anything. I call B.S. on your post. I also drive a Pete. I baby mine. Sometimes even Prime passes me, and I only average 7.6mpg.
If you don't drive for Prime, then WHY are you on one of their threads bashing their business practices??
You run YOUR truck YOUR way. NOBODY tells me how to run mine. My truck, my rules.
If your not smart enough to see that the object in your windshield is getting bigger, which meansd you are getting CLOSER to the vehicle in front of you, then maybe, just maybe you should take your own advice and "hang up your keys."
No. Your just a "typical" driver that had to tear down others in order to build yourself up.
I aint gonna argue with you, or anybody here. But....I will call B.S. when I see/hear it!kidnya Thanks this. -

All right, I'll vent. This one goes out to the Old Dominion driver Saturday night. These line haul drivers can get get pretty reckless. Tailgates me through the entire IL construction zone at night. I tried everything. Slowed down and sped back up. Hit the hazards. Even tapped the brakes just enough to illuminate the brake lights. Good luck OD driver, whoever you are. I doubt your career will be long with such reckless behavior.
I should have just angled the glaring mirrors away, slowed way down and ignored the deer on the shoulder that looked like they wanted to jump out and and send you plowing into the back of me when I tried to brake. P'd me off even more when I look over to see what stupid looks like as you pass to see you messing with paperwork with the cab lights on.
Most of the prime trucks I saw yesterday did their typical slow pass cut off routine. Except for the one that got out there before the hill loaded and had to hold traffic up and get back behind me. Hehe, I gave the ol cruise knob one bump up, and it was enough to stay in front of you till you hit the next truck stop. 1 more MPH or BUST!!!!darthanubis, Straight Stacks and truckon Thank this.
