As far as elogs go you have 30 minutes a day to drive off duty for personal use. Also if you are going home empty you can log off duty driving. Also if you need more time just go ahead and drive and then call logs or mark in safety the next day and they can change any extra time to off duty driving as long as you are empty and going home. I had to this to get home one night from atlanta since i was out of hours for the day.
