More and more carriers are finding out the software FMCSA uses to checking driving time between duty status changes makes it very easy to get caught if you don't log it as you run it . My carrier audits every driver's log with that same software . It's really a smart thing to do . All it takes is one serious accident or one disgruntled employee filing a complaint to bring the FMCSA in for an audit .

I'm not saying your wrong, drivers and companies need to follow the rules.

But, at the time I drove for Millis, you could get away with almost anything. One of the big tricks we use to do was always try to fuel at a terminal, Millis didn't keep track of that info, it was a free fuel stop. Millis only kept the bare minimum supporting documents required by law.

Millis of today my be a different company because of the looming CSA 2010.

It takes more than a disgruntled employee to get the FMCSA out. As to a major accident, sure they will be all over them.

yeah millis has been changing some of there policies was told a while back they had been letting drivers go if they got caught with a falsified log book at the scales. they also have started matching the ez pass tolls to the log books.

If your in Cartersville GA needing a DOT physical there is a company right beside the hospital that only charges 40.00 for the physical. My husband got his there before he went to school in Ohio back in July. My husband brings his truck home at night if he's only going to be home for his 10 hours off. When he's off the weekend he usually leaves it at the yard.

    $40 - $50 is the going rate . $157 is a huge ripoff . Did the doctors start a union ?
