It doesnt work that way. A sticker with no corners clipped would mean that it was inspected in the last month of that colors quarter. As in a yellow sticker with both corners clipped would mean you were inspected in the first month of the second quarter (April) Yellow with one corner clipped means second month of second quarter (May) yellow with no corners clipped means third month of second quarter (June). They do not do 30 or 60 day stickers.
^^^ What he said. -
FYI for you guys who do have current CVSA stickers. That sticker means nothing if you dont have the ORIGINAL copy of the inspection that the officer gave you after your level one. Keep that form in your truck until it expires. Also, remove the sticker after it expires, I have seen trucks with a sticker that is a year and a half old. You are begging for an inspection every time a cop sees that you have not been inspected in over a year.

I have all of the inspections in my book. Show them at the new inspection and they do not seem to look as hard.

never hurts to try. they put their pants on the same way i do. people are scared of the DOT. i will ask them anything. if some BS like the brake deal on the pete "hindered" an inspection yet the covers were legal, then he passed with no violations. no violations = sticker in theory.

@roadmedic : the 16 minute level 1 was a case of when you should have reported her to her supervisor right there on the spot. that was clearly someone meeting a quota.
-
Then who do you prove it too?
Your word against hers. They were not interested.
I did not look at the paperwork when I did my logbook. I looked at the time I noted in it at the start of the inspection. I looked at the time I was leaving and started by on the driving line.
I delivered the trailer and took the papers back to the yard. It was later that night at the motel, getting the paperwork in order that I saw the times. -
i'm going to have to disagree on this comment.
my only inspections of have been level 3's by the highway patrol. most of the time it's becuase they are bored. usually about once every quarter. although i went 6 months till my most recent. had old stickers in every truck i've driven since coming back out. -
This was my original point no violations=sticker... If I am 100% legal today then I am legal what could possibly happen tomorrow does not matter until it matters. As for arguing or seeking supervisors I looked at it like referee making a bad call in a sporting event...You can argue your point but the call stands, usually the only thing that comes of it is worse then the original call.
I also understand that a sticker isnt necessarily a free pass for 90 days either. It would still be up to individual officers if they wanted to inspect the truck. But it would get some respect from other officers. -
I think the stickers on the window also alert them that you are usually in order so they do not have to work as hard.
