I know in at least a couple states that I have lived in, one can not have a state ID and drivers license at the same time.
Also can't have multiple dl's from different states.
The new ID in any form will cancel the previous.
Can you have an multiple ID's and drivers licenses in various countries concurrently?brian991219 Thanks this. -
SO I would start with Florida and see if they can reinstate the CDL if the Tennessee DMV revokes the TN state ID, and if they say "yep" then get that done. When you get it reinstated, then you need to transfer the license back to TN.
IF this does not work, you will have to get a lawyer involved to push the DMVs to work to get it fixed.Bean Jr. and Sharon6969 Thank this. -
And separately we have a address card.
So when you move the other state and you have a new address, you need to change just a address card (but that card no photo on it)Moosetek13 Thanks this. -

A CDL "IS" a photo ID. You don't need any other ID in the US. Your CDL should show your permanent address. Most states require you to change your out of state CDL to your current address within 30 days of moving.
