I know in at least a couple states that I have lived in, one can not have a state ID and drivers license at the same time.
Also can't have multiple dl's from different states.
The new ID in any form will cancel the previous.
I'm curious how it works in European countries on this same subject.
Can you have an multiple ID's and drivers licenses in various countries concurrently?

I'm wondering why they went to get an ID. Instead of transferring the cdl.

OK, so you can not have two licenses from two different states. What you didn't get and others still don't get (that's not a slam on you), the State ID is a license replacement. The state will put in their database that you are no longer a driver and it nullifies the CDL or other states' licenses.

SO I would start with Florida and see if they can reinstate the CDL if the Tennessee DMV revokes the TN state ID, and if they say "yep" then get that done. When you get it reinstated, then you need to transfer the license back to TN.

IF this does not work, you will have to get a lawyer involved to push the DMVs to work to get it fixed.

In Europe we have a driver license (what is country wide, not specifically for state)
And separately we have a address card.
So when you move the other state and you have a new address, you need to change just a address card (but that card no photo on it)

    Moosetek13 Thanks this.

Because Tennessee doesn't transfer my cdl because I'm not a us citizen, so I made a photo id because I want something
    with which I justify myself.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

I think if you want to live and work in the USA, you need to be a US citizen.

nope, just need to be a legal resident, the state of Tennessee is supposed to transfer the license because of the legal status.

A CDL "IS" a photo ID. You don't need any other ID in the US. Your CDL should show your permanent address. Most states require you to change your out of state CDL to your current address within 30 days of moving.
