Just cool it for now and wait until you find out if the partner company hires you.
Either way, job are available for you even with the spotty work history.

Don't worry about it. Trucking schools are not the problem. What will happen once you get your CDL is an interested carrier in most situations is going to bring you in for orientation. In most orientations, you are going to sit one on one with somebody and this is where you list all jobs. I suggest you sit down and make that list as detailed as possible BEFORE going to ANY carrier orientation. Also, click on this LINK and look at what the carrier is legally required to do.
Also, your bad employment history is FAR from being the only one. It would surprise you just how many people are driving today that started just like you!Stonehjl, bryan21384, lual and 1 other person Thank this. -
Tell the person interviewing you that you just can't remember the dates of employment and you did the best you can guessing at them.
bryan21384 and Numb Thank this. -
If the company that the school is working with isn't paying for your school, then you are free to look for other opportunities for when you finish your school. When you apply to other companies be honest. Try to approximate to dates worked-normally month/year worked will be fine.Stonehjl, bryan21384, SoCalInterest2022 and 2 others Thank this.

Tell us which company the school is working with. May be better options at graduation.

Funny story I went to truck driver school way back in early 2000. Werner was who I was pretty much set on hiring on with and I made a slight oversight on the pre-employment app that caused them to reject me. Turns out they did me a favor lol. Point of that is if you are serious about a trucking job get serious about knowing what's in your past (employment or criminal) that they're going to ask about. Disclose it no matter how old or stupid you think it is. Otherwise they think you're a liar by omission. I had a company recently wanting details on an old misdemeanor from 1995. I hadn't forgot about it I actually disclosed it. Then I had to find exact dates for charges and disposition. Nobody out here is perfect and these companies don't expect that. You just have to be upfront.

You didn't lie; you did the best you could from memory, so tell them that.
You're in a good location for plenty of jobs. May Trucking Company or Pride Transport.
