Heya fellas. Been following this thread and decided to try and go with roehl for my first truck driving job (and cdl training) Faxed over all the paperwork today so my fingers are crossed. Im an outta work mechanic and need a gig real soon, so hopefully it works out. They were very pleasant on the phone and sounded re-assuring. Hope to see some of yall on the road soon!

I filled out an ap last week for them. Guess they don't want me. Haven't heard anything back.

They said no as did Millis. Which is stupid because in 05 either one would have taken me. Just goes to show these people don't want someone who is dedicated and hard working. Not saying none of you are. Just venting.

I have my CDL A along with all endoresments. I was offered to start early (somebody must have droped) Monday,September 28th, but I broke a tooth and now have to do a root canal (fun).
My original start date is for October 12th at Ellenwood, and Roehl could call me before. I have my duffle bag ready and packed. I have every thing in detail I could think of. I know to pack light I was a Marine. I got a rain poncho and I'm throwing in some chap stick. I got a maglite flashlight so if it gets wet it will still work. I have other things as well just thought I would mention these things. My cell phone has cab phone numbers for my home area as well as the atlanta area just in case. Better to be prepared than sorry. I may not have to use a cab.....this is just in case. -
Talked to the recruiter today and finally got things in motion. Faxed over a few more papers today and should hear back tommorrow. She said I sounded like a prime candidate with my background and current situation. So my fingers are still crossed but I feel a little more assured. Im pretty stoked man, hopefully I can get in soon. Winter is coming and im not so used to driving on ice, especially in a tractor!!
