I see we are going up around Lamar with all these shacks. I had to deliver a shack to a well in Washington county what a nightmare that was took 9 days to get a permit and I was sitting at the state line.

Yes I will be working mostly in east Texas again. This new company also goes into OK a bit. Lucas are the water trucks I see moving a lot. There is another company with really nice green and white Pete's but their name escapes me right now but I will get back to ya on that. Many of the guys at the company I pulled with went up to pa to pull loads for Vertex. All 12 were back within two weeks. That company was up to no good. Not Vertex. I had the since to cut my losses before they did. Bad situation but its the past now.
I will agree that things will look crazy to some of the worms at first. I live in an area with thousands of well near by both oil and gas. Lots of guys don't make it past the first few weeks. I also agree that if you want to work and do it with eyes open and mouth shut your about to make some good money and learn quick. I have many friends that within a short time were making better money than I did with B.A. in Communications. By the time I graduated college these guys were making better money than I would for a few years. In other words in four years they made more than I did in eight.
Is there danger...of course! Mostly because the job attracts crazy, risktakers. Like I said I know many of them....they go by the names of cousin and friend. I have a next door neighbor that sells drill bits now...banking. Two friends that are tool pushers and they both do well. The nanny for my boys goes to the wells to test the pressure before everything gets rolling and he to makes very good money. All of these guys have nice company trucks with all fuel paid and they use them all the time for more than work.
Now I'm headed but out to haul frac sand and I have a college degree so HOW IS IT IN THE OIL PATCH......THE SAME #### WAY IT HAS BEEN SINCE WE POPPED ER OPEN DOWN THAAR AT SPINDLETOP......a bunch of crazy ##### muth### running around making a hell of a lot more money than you think. Paying attention to what's going on around them so they go home with all of their fingers. Learning and BEING RESPECTFUL of the guys so know more and are trying to help. Getting the sissies out and the taddletail so ######## scared they shut up and let everyone else work.
Its oil and gas everybody wants so it doesn't make a #### how it gets too ya. Its worth way too much money and pays way to well to worry about how the freaking conditions are. Hell, that's when the bets start first time you ask about the conditions its almost a sure thing someone just bet the fella next to him how long you'd last.
Seriously if your worries are about the conditions and not how much you can put in the bank or for some blow at the casino and on ###### then your better off not coming out there.

Maybe others see it differently but that how my minds eyes gets it to my noggin!

Yep except you canooks ate freaking crazy to hang a truck off of a set of gin poles to pull a tool off. We just use our number two winch to let it down in our beds. Those are Swanberg trucks in those pictures and I'm good friends with the brothers that owned it before they sold it to Mullen.

That's only a 10 foot ramp they are on, twelve is scary and the highest I've ever been on is 14 and that is downright spooky especially when one side sinks as your coming down.
