There is no way I'm keeping a 5 gal. bucket of poop in my truck... Haha there are guys that do though. Then there are the ones with the sleeper floor trap door. Disgusting in my opinion.

At the very least... Tell those guys to buy some diapers. Open them up and let the business fall in. Then wrap up and double bag it with tiny trash bags. Then at least it's disposed of properly and without any smell in the truck. Then again..I suppose just putting paper towels in the bottom of the bucket.

This is rather gross. Does the urge really strike that urgently?

If it does I can make it somewhere. I guess if you have IBS then it would be a different story. Diapers are nasty as well. I'm not pooping myself and sitting in it for hours on end... thats horrid. There is a hiway here in teh state that has an issue of someone throwing used adult diapers out on the side of the road. Was on the news awhile back. They can't seem to catch who it is though.

Oh Yeah, There have been times when a driver has soiled himself/herself trying to get to the john. You can't time it right sometimes so it's literally a crapshoot! :)

Those little paper stool covers you see sometimes in the john, we called them ### gaskets.

The ### gasket isn't sufficient enough for me. I gotta cover that seat in layers of TP like a bird making a nest :biggrin_25523:

eeewwww... I didn't mean to wear the diaper LOL! I meant to line the porta potty with it or put it in the bottom of the bucket. Then it can be disposed of LOL! I seriously hope to NEVER end up in diapers I don't care how many commercials they want to show about females with issues.

Those diapers take like a thousand years to rot. I vote to just hang your donkey over a guard rail and get to it!! ;-)

Hopfrog, I carry a little can of Lysol and spray the seat before I install the gasket. Kills 99.99% of the vermin.

1) a strong bladder helps (DON'T eat fiber!!)
2) major truck stops (Pilot, Flying J, Petro, T/A) have staff that clean each private bathroom after each use. Sometimes you may have to wait for a clean shower to become available. You earn a free shower (or a credit usually good for 5 days) after fueling at least 50 gallons. Otherwise, the cash cost is now around $9 (tax deductible, keep the receipt!). I will wait til the end of the day to use the toilet in the private bathroom when I shower to avoid using the truckstop public bathroom - they are (and truckers are) as filthy as you will find anywhere. Most are good, but there are enough slobs to make life at a truck stop pretty #### disgusting if you think about it too much (like the driver too lazy to walk inside who steps between his rig and trailer and pees in the parking lot - yes, I've even seen a driver do it AT THE FUEL ISLAND).
3) truckstops are pretty much like going to a WalMart. Plenty of parking, the store has groceries, clothes, electronics, toys and souveniers, a fast food outlet or two, maybe even a sit-down restaurant. Some have tv lounges for drivers, some have laundry rooms, some have personal shops like barbers, and cb tech stores. A few even have affiliated businesses like doctors, massueses, and car rental counters, but they are few and far between - if I were an entreprenuer, I'd talk enterprise into opening branches in truck stops near major cities.
Truck stops used to be for truckers, now they are travel centers and cater, some would argue, more to the highway auto customer than to the trucker. I keep a blog at mindsay.com and sometime share road stories with on-line friends who know nothing about trucking, and recently a took a couple of pix of a private bathroom, lets see if I can post them here.
I'm not sure how this works, I just uploaded them but they don't seem to part of the post, they are though, in a new photo file created by the upload, try cut and pasting this link

let me know if it doesn't work and I'll give you my photobucket account address and post them there. Truckstop bathrooms are simple, toilet, large sink, stool for clothes, a couple of hooks on the wall, a paper floormat if you are lucky, a small towel and facecloth. Maybe a shower curtain, maybe not. Some provide soap, some don't. It ain't the Ritz, but it beats bathin' in the creek!

So the showers are not free huh? Then again, what is free these days? You have to spend money on showers, a potty, food and drink. When it's time to go home what's left? :home:
