That's what I figured, so just to clarify moving the axle forward from my original question isn't really going to help me out then? I may have to start looking at ways to lighten the truck it looks like.
Here, you could add an extra lift axle, add 2000 pounds to the truck, and gross 68,500. That’s what I’d do but in Ohio for example, you see short triaxles that can do that.
Cool it looks like I have some options to check into. Thanks for all the help and suggestions everyone! Very much appreciated!
This is a tough one. I am considering this too but I kinda decided it is just better not to run those plates. They are really heavy. I still run some but not the loads that put me on the brink of my ability (29K'ish). I really have no answer man...I always pictured mine like your and yours is still "not enough" so more reason for me to just leave mine alone. If I ever order a glider it will be like yours but with a 18k steer axle. An all aluminum bed would save us 2k (my bed is 5k) on our drives....
Oh yea man that 20k axle along with that lift axle and you are set IMO! You are only missing out on long and heavy pain in the arse loads IMO! LOL.
