Lift axle trailers.

    Yea trying to turn with them down stops us dead in our tracks, but yea we have one switch that lifts/drops all three at the same time, and boxes on the sides of the trailers that lets let’s us bypass so the decision to leave a single axle down must be made beforehand

    We run 8x tankers in MI, if you lift front axles as opposed to back axles as in lift 1,2 and leave 6 down it will pull easier through a turn but increases wheelbase so need a wider turn but in tight areas lift 1 and 6 for tighter turning. As far as how many to lift there are as many opinions as there are drivers... Basically whatever the owner wants as they are buying the tires and replacing axle bushings. We usually turn with 4 up 4 down but I've heard also heard turn on an odd number. Figure it out and write a book lol
