    Is it true, 2 speed transmissions are more of a headache (cost of maint) than they are worth as appose to gearing down the rear ends more? ( I know you will give up highway running speeds if geared too low)

    Does anyone still make 2 speed transmissions anymore? I Rarely hear anyone talking about them..

    Fuller still makes them I'm pretty sure. I'm set up for the At-1202 (for some reason my truck was ordered with all the cross members, etc. added but no trans) & have the trans from my old daycab, just don't have the C500 to use those low gears & not end up with a bunch of broken parts in a big puddle of oil.
