I hauled 30 boxes of that fake snow crap from Buffalo to Eau Claire. They had to finish out the order for Menards. Bout the lightest I ever did.
Light loads....

My lightest load was just over 8 lbs. Took it from Cinci to Detroit. Couldn't be late getting it or delivering it. Turns out it was some sort of prototype worth millions to the company.

I've delivered letters and packages at my full rate. I did a number of $2 a mile runs with single computer back up tapes for a company I used to work for, averaging 800 miles a run.
One of the trucks I have was given a good run that he's done a couple times. He had to drop his van and pick up a sealed reefer with a huge fuel tank on it in Chicago - the paperwork said one pound. The temp was fixed at 45 degrees and it went to some place in Arizona. He didn't ask questions or cared, it paid good enough for all involved - especially me. He got to the delivery, got his instructions which was to back into the dock and wait in the truck until someone came out to tell him to go. He guessed what it was but no one would say, I think it was some electronics for some space project. The company had him DH back up to Chicago to drop the trailer off and pick up his. -
It's amazing how things get shipped sometimes. I once got dispatched with a 53' trailer to a printer to haul newspaper inserts on a 2 stop load to Atlanta and Miami. When I arrived, I asked the shipper where the nearest public scale was since I was in DC, heading south through Virginia, and thought I was picking up a full load. The clerk laughed in my face because I was only getting 2 skids, one going to Atlanta and one going to Miami.

I've DH over 600 miles to get 17lbs bucket, and run 900 miles with it. When I got to rec they wanted me to scale. I've just laughed and opened trailer door. They've weighted it on table top scale.
