Tri city canvas tarps in nylon 13oz top 10 oz sides will still last a long time. 18oz tarps still tear surprisingly easy if you aren’t careful padding the load. Not to mention they weigh 40% less your chance of injury is far lower.
Once I was in a ladder tarping a load that came to a point in the center of the trailer. The tarp I was unrolling on the top slid down the side and hit my ladder. If I wasn’t a fat guy I would have fell back and I’m sure an injury would of happened.PoleCrusher and cke Thank this. -
Alrighty then. Well for better or worse I have gone with the used billboard 14 X 23 ft. I do not want the high loads so I figure I can handle a 15 L X 6 W with a 4 ft drop all around. Anything bigger than that I will let you stronger guys and gals handle. About 37 lb, which I love and the 3 inch on all 4 side to run a rope through to tighten. Price with shipping $50.00. I can always move up to something stronger at a later date if I need to. Thanks and be careful out there.
It is sad but the majority of drivers in cars do not realize that that big load going down the road has a father, mother, husband, wife, sister, brother....... behind its wheel, who wants to get home to loved ones too.cke and PoleCrusher Thank this.
