I have been having some weird light issues lately. Seems to be only when hooked to a trailer. Both trailers I use have mostly LEDs. When I hit the brake the right turn signal on truck lights up. If the turn signal is on as well, it will stop flashing when I hit the brake. Doesn't do it when the 4 ways are on. I'm leaning towards a ground issue. Going to check the plug on the truck side to make sure there's a good ground. Make me think it's there since it does it with both trailers. Anything else I need to look for? This is on a 95 FLD 120.

What you need to look for is year/make/model of truck and post it so someone has a chance to help you.....

I knew somewhere on here, many moons ago, I had drawn a schematic for why lights act funky when there is a bad ground. Apparently the images are hosted on Photobucket though... I didn't even think that place was around anymore and I've long since forgotten I had an account there.
ALL trailer lights flash when 4-ways or turn signals are turned on: How to fix? -
Make sure all your lights are working on the truck too. When I have a rear blinker/ brake light burned out or broken wire it does funny things. I also have to run incandescent lights on the rear of my tractor to make the flasher work with all LEDS everywhere else. Even tried the low voltage flasher and still wouldn't work right. 01 Pete.
Long story short make sure all lights are working first -
Found the ground issue. Side marker/turn signal on the trailer was grounded to the mounting screw. Apparently this trailer does not have a ground wire from the plug to the trailer itself. Moved the ground on the light from the screw to the harness and haven't had a problem since.
