What are you owners using for vans? I am running flatbed about 90% of the time but looking at buying a van for that 10%. When I need a van I use my dad's 05 great Dane. For whatever reason this trailer seems very heavy emty. Loaded at 45k I can't never get my axle weights right. So I am looking for info on what to look for in a lighter van. He's got plywood lined sides and roof which I'm sure adds a ton of weight. Any suggestions?

I can load up to 47K lbs - full tank (250 gal) Volvo 670 and 2016 Utility . I never hauled anything heavier than 45K, which was a load of bottled water.

We are a flatbed company also and occasionally run steel in a dry van for a customer. We had problems getting weight to axle correctly on the drives since our trucks carry all there flatbed gear on the trucks. We ended up going with sliding spread axle 53ft vans.
