In a word, NO! If (big if) the load is not ready when the shipper said it would be you MIGHT get paid detention pay for anything past 2 hours.
I have more options as an owner/operator than a company driver does. I recently arrived to find that my load had been unloaded for "quality control" issues. Swift wanted me to wait around and collect detention. I had them take me off the load and pay me for the MT miles so I could start looking for another load. As a company driver you probably do not have that option. -

MT= empty miles

MT means empty, could be an MT trailer or MT miles, depends on how it is used. By itself it is just empty.

You detention pay if u sit more then 2hrs.....but that clock is based off as soon as you send the macro Ur on property.

I've done the same as a company driver....a few times.
