It has less to do with "paranoia and ignorance" OR safety than it has to do with revenue generating.
-
Like THAT is going to happen.
-
Yeah I know.

I don't know....the way the "One" and Geithner are running the markets to the ground.... soon, all trucks will be parked.....

You guys are wasting you time complaining about speed limiters in trucks, just look at the Canadian truckers section we just went through this. fact and proof has never mattered to government before and I don't think it ever will.
P.S
I am pretty sure cars can have the speed set in them also, wouldn't that help? -

Regulators on this side of the border have a little more sense . ATA tried to petition for speed limiters in 2006 and NHTSA turned them down .Chain Drive Thanks this.

I hope I works out for you guys I just think it's a hard fight when you are basically saying we need to speed, a 68mph limit still gives you 3 over the limit in most places. Don't get me wrong I like to go fast too, I feel it is the reason for the law that is frustrating (speeding trucks are running wild up and down the road killing all in their path) nobody seems to see the cars running 70+ and I think they can be limited too

The problem is once you get into KY and TN you have 70 m.p.h. limits . Some western states are 75 m.p.h.
