I am thinking of changing my career but I had an accident 2015 (wasn't my fault) and I can't get insurance for my limo.
Do you think this will be a hindrance in getting a CDL?

No hindrance at all. What's your plan; a private cdl school or a trucking company cdl school?
    Where is your location; city/state?

Hey let me ask you something. On my prom night a group of people got a limo, and their limo driver was picking up one of the persons, and pulled down into their driveway and got caught in like the valley of 2 hills. His front bumper was on one and his real was on the other and he couldn't get a run at either to get out. Is this a common occurrence in the limousine business?

I am live in jersey city, nj. I called the DMV and they said I have to wait 4 months or more to take the road test. They are so backed up. Is the waiting time shorter if I go to a private CDL school? I need a job fast.

    Nothing is fast in trucking.

I can elaborate but I rather not. Everything will fall into place in due time. And not a minute before.

    Badmon and race64 Thank this.

I'd say you are better off going to a private cdl school

No if you can't get insurance for your commercial vehicle, you may end up not getting a job in trucking. IT is much more a problem, especially when there is an accident involved and I am thinking that you had some litigation that went against you and no commercial insurance company will touch you, not the limo but you because of it.
