I am thinking of changing my career but I had an accident 2015 (wasn't my fault) and I can't get insurance for my limo.
Do you think this will be a hindrance in getting a CDL?

No hindrance at all. What's your plan; a private cdl school or a trucking company cdl school?

I can elaborate but I rather not. Everything will fall into place in due time. And not a minute before. -
I'd say you are better off going to a private cdl school

I'd probably just got to which ever is cheaper, personally -
No if you can't get insurance for your commercial vehicle, you may end up not getting a job in trucking. IT is much more a problem, especially when there is an accident involved and I am thinking that you had some litigation that went against you and no commercial insurance company will touch you, not the limo but you because of it.
