Sounds impressive! I'd like to hear what it sounds like on the air. I guess hams probably don't do stuff like watergates. Some of the CB watergates are impressive, but who wants to hear a bunch of guys trying to talk over each other?

I have talked on SSB the other day. can I still use the palomar while talking on SSB? it doesn't have anything on it that specifies anything about SSB though.

Since I have bought it a few weeks ago, Skip has only rolled in once or twice. Last saturday I got on 38 LSB and talked to a guy in Nashville. I spent about three seconds moving the Clarifier knob to where he didn't sound crazy. That's the first time I have ever talked on 38 LSB. I heard a guy from California coming and then talked to a guy out of Georgia. I've talked farther than Nashville and Georgia on regular AM before but will try again on SSB when the skip rolls in and see how far I can get out.
From what I could tell it did fine on SSB. What does it mean when people say that some radios drift on SSB? -

check 27.555 USB for international stations and I think its 27.515 USB that the Jamaicans talk on, the Jamaicans are riot to chat with..

GP! You better watch yourself boy, they're liable to cut a corner off your license! -
what channels are they? my radio doesn't have a frequency counter. -
I'm just passing along info from my long gone "outlaw" days !! -
I freq counter would be a huge help if your gonna shoot skip on SSB...you can buy small ones that should plug into the back of your radio..
you might be able to get by with a google search for "export radio frequency chart" print it up and keep it near your radio...
