Linear Amp Question

    Question 1 You don't really need 18 feet of coax like some think.

    Question 2 Install the SWR/Watt meter between the amp and the antenna.

    Just leave your existing coax and add a 3' jumper for the amp. If you need a longer hunk of coax for the amp, then go for it. If you put a meter inline, use another 3' piece of coax. That should be inline before the antenna.

    Radio to amp to meter to antenna.

    how much does a good radio cost??

    Anywhere from $200 -20,000 dollars

    This one is mid range at about $1400

    TS-2000 .... with a preamp and antenna tuner.
