Link America.. BAD

Lol! Love the pic! Interesting how the tides have changed. Now that I'm out and looking in, yeah... They're really not all that after all. I have three offers on the table if I want to go back trucking. All three offer 2200 miles, home every weekend, and the lowest is .39/mile. Better benefits, more stop pay, and all three pay practical miles. One of them called and laughed saying I stayed at Link a long time. They are the carrier across the street.

I have no desire to go back driving at the moment. I think I'll go back to going home every night, or day if my interview today pans out. Which is what I want anyway for it will get me to working same hours as my wife and we can spend some needed quality time hashing things out. Pay is still better than Link and best of all, treated with respect as if I am a human being and not a number running miles. Thanks Link for showing me why I don't like trucking anymore!

Thanks for keeping that money out of my check! Now I get to fight with you over it for the next six months with Wage & Hour!

Go ahead, bury your head in the sand and avoid the unpleasant realities others are facing. We're not stupid and we know the real reason why things are so good for you and not so much for the rest, so your words are tainted and amount to nothing anyway.

 

Don't ever quit Link. You'll regret it. Especially with the last check. Last check is 159 miles and they sent me a letter telling me I owe them money. Lol. They are out of their mind.

I'm meeting my attorney tomorrow morning. I'll keep you all updated.

 

Why is it trucking is such a difficult field? Think about it, we're held to the highest of standards, every time I see the lights flashing for the weigh station I get anxious, why? I don't know, I can believe my truck is in tip top shape but the DOT are just an intimidating bunch, then there's the companies, not pinpointing Link, just companies in general who act like they've done you a favor by hiring you, don't treat you the greatest, and god forbid you leave can make your life a living hell if they'd like.

I just requested a copy of my DAC so I can see what everyone else is seeing, I'm trying to get my wife and I back to Florida since she's graduating in six weeks and I can't even so much as get a call back on anything. I figure it's because I'm a thousand miles away, but then again it has me thinking "is a company putting out false information"? Either way I'll find out in a few days, as for you Shaggy I hope you get things under control, I can honestly say I didn't see this ending coming with you and Link.

 

I didn't see it either. It isn't necesarily Link. It is one particular person there that in a management position that is using Link for her own personal attacks. That is where the problem lies. I have contacted higher up and all they have done is feed my ears with garbage. Now I'm not leaving them a choice. They make it right or the company as a whole has to deal with it since the are neglecting the problem. i wish it didn't end this way, but they are leaving me with no choice.

 

ok good, i was scard there for a min, all the bad things ppl was saying about link america was making me reconsider. i start there 9/6 for orientation. im going local in the san antonio tx area.
