I did see that the regional out of Tex & mid-west pays .36 cpm; But the recruiter told me .305 for out of FL.~what makes this area any less deserving of .36? We love the co he drives for now but really wanted to get on a regional (he's had enough of criss-crossing country, especially in winter) Guess he will do it though for at least one more winter until an honest, reputable, fair regional co. comes along, if one exists! It's very sad that the driving force of our country gets treated so bad & such low pay for being in their "office" 24/7! My husband used to be VP of a survey firm that closed its doors. After 1 yr unempl & searching & sending resumes out all over the place, we were out of options, so he got his CDL & went to work (not the life we love, but at least its a job & he's not sitting around waiting for hand-outs). I commend all you drivers out there; now I really appreciate the hard work it is & the sacrifices you & your families make.

May I ask where you live? Once the pay goes up i think this would be a good fit for him.

We live in Florida; west central on the coast, just a bit north of Clearwater, FL.

Being that close to the terminal you can get thru the house quite a bit. I live in Bradenton.

A little habit I picked up years ago when I was running flatbed was to not fuel before going into any customer.

I've hauled a bunch of pallets and never had a full load come close to 35,000lbs let alone put me over gross. What were you hauling, lead pallets for a uranium shipment?

Heaviest pallet load I had was 38k and some change. Thats 570 pallets top to bottom, front to back.

you guys sure are hauling different pallets than I have ever seen. I've loaded numerous 53ft pallets front to back top to bottom and never come close to the weights you mention here. you must haul green, not kiln dried pallets.
