I don't know why I thought Target in Ocala. It's KMart...

Preplanned to pickup Graniteville, SC tomorrow drp/hook anf deliver Ocala, FL drop/hook as soon as I can get there.

 

Lazy drivers are so irritating...

Got to Dublin, did a d/h there. Pulled a old Gene Hyde trailer. So far, it's nicest trailer I pulled. It went straight, had super singles on it, really nice riding trailer. Had 8 air bags on it which I thought was unusual...

Came here to Graniteville and ran out of hours. Picked up and trailer was a mess. Left mudflap was tied up with wire ties, 3 lights and lenses busted, 1 flat tire, brakes way out of adjustment... Last driver was lazy is why trailer was dropped this way. Plus whomever had it prior to him that pulled it this way.

So I'm at little shop behind BP (more like shack) getting it all fixed. Hoping to be in Ocala tonight. Supposed to be home Friday so I'm guessing either short run back up and down to be home by Friday at 1400... Only need 300 miles to reach my 2k for the week. I'm looking to get more than that at this rate.

Even with some hiccups, I'm doing quite alright.

 

My DM's rexponse, just get it fixed. Call me when done...

That kind of irritated me. Shop said last driver was lucky. They took it off by hand. One bump and whole bracket would have come off. It's fixed, 5 hrs later...

I'm now swapping in Savannah for Ft Hill, SC. Just hoping driver is there and waiting. Run will be tight.

 

Driver showed late for swap leaving me with 4 hrs.. I had to buy fuel along the way. So I made it to just outside Columbia, SC. I had 11 min left on clock. Talk about running on the wire. Lol. I get up, call DM, and he said to run it in. About 20 min later he calls and said to stop where I am. So I park in Cayce and then I'm told appt changed to Monday morning. Aargh.... He is trying to see what can be done so I can pick up p'plan that takes me home for home time. He said he should have kept other driver on it since he just left home and they could have had more options. So here I sit, watching my hours fade away, waiting...

 

So dispatch got together and had me drop trailer in Jackson, SC for empty, then headed to Ft Mill for load that goes to Lakeland for home time. I'll be getting there later than planned, but still same day. So I can't gripe too much. Just wish I knew four hours sooner so I could have made it out of the state. I ran out of hours just after I picked up load.

Still, loaded and heading home with 500+ mile trip. Finishing the week with just over 2200 miles

 

How do you put the pics up? Mine is about the same... Some days more, some less, but close to yours. Not bad for a new guy.

I do like the first in, first out dispatch. As long as you have hours, they assign the loads by who is close and who is going to be there first. No favoritism it seems. So everyone should get the same miles with a system like that.
